Harper Cline (she/her)
Director of the writing department, Harper Cline is dedicated to publishing relevant pieces by diverse voices on social issues, pop culture, and youth-dominated interests. You can find her reading and arguing about everything and nothing in her free time.

Grace Atkin (she/her)
Grace Atkin is the Writing Department Manager and a writer fueling The Violet’s poetry section. She spends her time reading horror novels, watching pretentious movies, and writing. She has a cat named Klaus, to which she feeds him too many treats for being cute.

Iris Pritchard (they/them)
Iris Pritchard is a junior in high school, they founded the Violet Magazine in October of 2021 with three other close friends. Their mission is to bring personhood back to writing since nowadays everything in the news is so mundane and doesn’t focus on the people behind stories.

Charlotte Pinkerson (Any Pronouns)
Charlotte Pinkerson is a highschool junior and founding member of The Violet Magazine as well as a writer and finance department member. Drawing inspiration from media and pop culture both young and old, they enjoy covering entertainment based topics such as music and media as well as politics and world events.

Alex Keagle (they/them)
Alex Keagle is a music loving teenager from the Los Angeles area. They hope to become a music journalist one day and write for Rolling Stone. In The Violet, Alex writes themed essays, poems, and articles. A fun fact about them is that they have two cats.

Lucinda Batstone (she/her)
Lucinda, one of the magazine's founders and current board member, works in both the writing and finance departments. She hopes that through The Violet, she and other members can provide digestible content about 21st-century culture in a way that engages and relates to the youth. In her downtime, she can be found listening to music or reading the New York Times.

Rhiju Chakraborty (he/they)
Rhiju Chakraborty moved to the United States at a young age, and fell in love with how books allowed them to escape the mundaness of reality. They are a writer for the Violet Magazine, and when they're not busy running cross country, or writing articles for the Violet, they can be found most of the time with their nose up a book.

Tessa Lea Kennedy (she/her)
Tessa Lea Kennedy writes about film, sometimes theater, and now books for the Violet Magazine. She joined the magazine fueled by her love of writing and her knowledge that the people running the Violet were movers and shakers and would do something great. Tessa hopes to write, but also host events, expand, and get creative with this fun and versatile format. On her own time, she loves to play guitar, write songs, read an ungodly amount of books, and ritually bake every Wednesday.

A junior at Hamilton High School and a member of the writing department, Via’s passions lie with all things history, gay, and gay history. They also love to play and listen to music, and consider themself a halfway decent writer. If only she could be concise.

Scarlett Brisbin is a freshmen who enjoys anything film and volleyball. She spends most of her time either listening to music or watching her favorite movies. Scarlett is a soon-to-be staff member at her high school newspaper and is so happy to be on the Violet staff!
